Terms of Service

Last updated 24 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Lume, a to-do app where tasks can be delegated to AI agents. By creating an account or using Lume, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Lume lets you manage tasks and projects and, optionally, hand work to AI assistants and connected agents (including over MCP and the API on paid plans). We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You must be at least 16 and provide an accurate email address. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

Don't use Lume to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam or malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service. When you connect agents via MCP or the API, you're responsible for what they do under your credentials and for staying within any rate limits.

AI features and output

AI responses and agent actions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing output and for any action an agent takes on your behalf. Lume is a tool, not professional advice. AI usage is metered per account for billing.

Plans and billing

Lume is free to start. Lume Pro is a subscription (currently $6.99 per month) that adds the MCP server, the REST API, and a larger monthly allowance of AI credits. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe and renew automatically each period until cancelled. We may change pricing on notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the app's billing settings; your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period and is not prorated. As a UK consumer you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription — but by starting to use paid features immediately you agree we may begin the service within that period, which can reduce or remove that right for usage already supplied. This does not affect your other statutory rights.

Your content

Your tasks, projects, and messages remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process them to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time.

Availability

We aim to keep Lume running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may suspend it for maintenance or to protect the service. Lume is provided “as is” without warranties to the extent permitted by law.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under law. Subject to that, Lume is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profit, and our total liability to you is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or £100.

Termination

You may stop using Lume and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to Lume or others.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Lume after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
